News we receive from Libya are few and mostly stem from media outlets that are often ideologically or politically affiliated.
But how can we know what ordinary Libyans think of the political transition? What are common narratives on elections, the constitution and the UN’s efforts to advance the transition by holding a National Dialogue Conference?
In an effort to understand Libya’s social media landscape and to identify key narratives that shape the Libyan public opinion, DRI has started monitoring Facebook content posted on Libyan public pages in December. Over the next six months, DRI will publish monthly reports to analyze the content consumed by Libyan users on Facebook and their online behavior regarding the constitution, elections and the political process in general.
