As a challenge to the current situation, DRI organized a panel discussion on 3 April 2023, entitled "Women in the North: Barriers to Participation in Public Affairs" at the University of Balamand – Koura. The panelists emphasized on the importance of women's participation in decision-making. The discussion revolved around the municipal elections and gathered different perspectives and valuable insights. It also highlighted the crucial role that women play in shaping our communities. The panel included Dr. Hind El Soufi, Dr. Dima Issa, journalist Layal Bou Moussa, Ms. Jinane Moubayed, and the discussion was moderated by Tania Ghorra, a media professional.
