As part of " The Municipal Know-how for Host Communities in the Middle East Programme" and in the presence of the Lebanese implementing partners DRI and GIZ, a solid waste sorting and treatment facility was launched in the town of Rachiine - Zgharta district in partnership with the German municipality of Kisslegg.

The project was funded by the German Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) through the "Global Partnership" organization (Engagement Global) and the Municipal Services Agency in One World (SKEW). The event was attended by a number of public and local officials and prominent personalities.
