What is a constitution and why is it such an important document?

What are our fundamental rights as citizens?

And how does a constitution effect elections and local governance?

These and many other questions will be answered by the videos below.

Funded by the British Foreign and Commonwealth Office, Democracy Reporting International supported the Libyan Constitution Drafting Assembly (CDA) as well as Libyan civil society in the constitution-drafting process from 2015 - 2016. DRI facilitated exchange sessions between the CDA and civil society representatives to ensure that the needs and concerns of citizens are considered in the drafting process. In order to reach out to larger parts of the Libyan society and to render the constitution-drafting process more comprehensible, DRI produced the following videos in English and Arabic language.
