The paper studies gaps and deficiencies associated with the submission, intake/receipt, handling, processing and investigation and adjudication of electoral challenges, complaints, and disputes in
Pakistan. The paper will also provide an overview and analysis of the current EDR mechanisms in light of international electoral standards, Pakistan’s constitutional and international obligations and the recommendations formulated by the European Union Election Observation Mission 2008 (EU EOM 2008).
