As Digital Democracy Research Coordinator, Jesse leads DRI’s research on protecting and promoting healthy democratic space online, analysing social media patterns, contributing to regulatory debates and monitoring the impact of evolving technologies. Jesse has over a decade of experience as an academic researcher and fellow, focusing on strategy, security, political violence and the role of technology in these areas. He is also a trained data analyst. Jesse holds a PhD in International Relations from the Brussels School of International Studies at the University of Kent, a Master of Science in Development Studies from the London School of Economics, and a Bachelor’s degree in International Studies from the University of Washington, Seattle.
